Community Wildflower Planting day:
Sometimes a morning connecting with the soil and your community is just the thing you need! 🪻🌱
On Saturday morning, Oct 18th, we will continue with our project of making the verges in the village both more wildlife-friendly, and more beautiful, by planting wildflower plug-plants (plants that are a bit bigger than a seedling) amongst the grass of The Avenue's verges.
We have a LOT to get through, but many hands make light work, so do come and help for as much, or little time as you can! We'll be there from 10am until 12:30pm, and the village's Apple Café will be there serving free hot drinks.
Meet at 10am behind the bus stop next to the school, or find us later along the verges - we'll be easy to spot!

What you need to do:
-
Wear gardening gloves, suitable clothing and appropriate footwear
-
Wear a high viz jacket/vest (we can supply some)
-
Bring a trowel if you have one
-
Meet behind the school bus stop at the start time or find us along the verges if you come later. You will need to register with us.

Who can attend:
-

-
For safety reasons only children aged 9 or above may attend.
